STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Timber Consortium (GTR Co-Op) has officially announced its first Annual Stockholders Meeting. The organization expects a strong turnout as it establishes its initial governing body, presents operational plans, and distributes stock certificates to founding members.
Meeting Time & Location
- Date & Time: August 11 at 6:30 PM. Virtual attendees can begin signing in between 6:00 PM and 6:15 PM.
- In-Person Location: The Rudy Johnson building, located at 105 Miley Drive, Starkville (near the Starkville airport).
- Virtual Option: Remote participation is available via Zoom for members unable to attend in person. Due to a 100-invitee limit on the platform, virtual admission is restricted strictly to Charter members.
Who Will Attend
A large crowd of Co-Op stockholders and Charter members is expected to attend both in person and virtually. Key organizational figures leading the proceedings include Shelton Jones, John Fair, and Jonathon Stoll.
What Will Be Covered
The meeting agenda features several key organizational milestones and planning sessions:
- Welcome & Founder Introductions: Shelton Jones will call the meeting to order, deliver opening remarks, and introduce the Co-Op’s founders.
- Bylaws Presentation: John Fair will present the proposed bylaws to the membership for formal adoption.
- Board & Officer Elections: Members will vote on eight nominated founders to serve as the inaugural Board of Directors and elect officer terms.
- Short- and Long-Term Operations: The newly elected Board President will present strategic plans for the first six months, followed by Jonathon Stoll outlining goals for the first full year of operations.
- Committee Sign-Ups: Attendees will have the opportunity to join core working committees, including Communications/Technology, Timberland Holdings, Wood Marketing, New Markets & Economic Development, Governmental Affairs, Vendor Vetting, Legal & Accounting, Management, and Expansion.
- Q&A & Stock Certificates: The session will wrap up with an open floor for questions and the official presentation of stock certificates to Charter members.
